Panning for gold (the truth)

It’s long, but read the whole article. It’s unfortunate that “We the People” must sift through the onslaught of political
spin-doctoring from the competing parties. I believe that most Americans don’t/won’t take the time to research ALL sides of any given issue or story to come up with what might pass as fact. This is what causes many people to regurgitate sound bites and opinions they’ve heard without understanding what is being said. When pressed on a subject or presented with evidence that debunks their opinion they(any political affiliation) are left stammering. If we have an opinion, we need to be able to back it up. We shouldn’t just repeat something we’ve heard from someone we like. We also need to be prepared to learn that we might be wrong.
What’s wrong with telling the truth and letting “We the People” decide for ourselves?
