Trouble in South Dakota

I have a theory. There’s a movement brewing. The time to take back the government as “of the people, by the people and for the people” is coming. The internet will play a role. More specifically, blogging. If the web remains free and people are free to express themselves, Democracy will know it’s greatest expression it’s ever known in history. The networking and free trade of ideas and information will power and empower the movement for true government reform. I believe this is a great opportunity for those of us who are stuck in the middle. The majority, probably. For the most part we don’t subscribe to the fringe groups on the Right or the Left. But, in my opinion, those fringe groups control the majority of the outlets that produce the propaganda we are growing tired of. That’s because we prefer the truth. Or, at least as least as close as we can get to the truth. We want to be given the facts and then allowed to decide for ourselves what we think. For those of us who want to meet in the middle with differing opinions but keep the dialogue going; the “new free press”, that is the web and
its tools, will provide the great opportunity.
