charges – Jul 1, 2004
Well, at least he stills believes what he’’s been preaching. I watched an interview with a member of the Iraqi council on CBS
news and he was the person who presented the charges to some of Saddam’’s regime including Saddam himself. The council member
said that they all were visibly fearful after the charges were read. I think they all believed it would never come to
this.\r\n\r\nA testimony to the regime thinking over the last 35 years comes as an excerpt from an audio recording made by
“Chemical” Ali. In it he’’s heard giving orders to use chemical weapons on Iraqi people and he says, “Kill them, kill them
all. Who’’s going to stop us?”
read it: CNN.com – Cassini gets ringside view of
Saturn’’s mysteries – Jul 1, 2004
On a much brighter note: A spacecraft from earth has entered into orbit around another planet. Cassini traveled more than 900
million miles in almost 7 years to reach Saturn. It will take 4 years to make 76 orbits around the giant planet. Saturn has a diameter of 74,988 miles, 7 rings and 31 moons. The rings are only 1.5 km high but 170,000 km wide.
This shows my age. I remember the Voyager spacecraft passing Saturn and that was 1980 and 1981. People born then could now be college grads.
