Blog updating
Jun 11th, 2005 by cadmus
What started as an upgrade to the latest release of Wordpress turned into some heavy work on the site.
I upgraded and re-styled the home page to match the blog. I’ve changed the colors on the blog, which I think look better. For now. I never seem to be quite satisfied with the look.
I did some behind the scenes work in the admin area and the coding of the blog. Fun for me, boring for most everyone else. Mainly installing plugins to combat comment and trackback spam. It’s reached the point that even this little blog is under daily attacks. Grrr!
I’ve installed some new plug-ins. The coolest is probably the free Gravatar Sign-up when you leave a comment. It makes it easier to use a Gravatar when leaving comments. Chewie and Claymour need to leave a comment and sign-up.
If you haven’t noticed before there is now a Contact Form link to the left which makes it easy to send me a message via email.
I apologize for the lack of posting. I am so busy with different projects that I’m keeping my news intake and blogosphere surfing to a minimum. I’m focusing on meeting some personal goals in addition to work, home and church fronts. Very little free time.
Finally, I’ve set up a style sheet for the RSS feed that should make it much nicer when reading it in an aggregator. If you read this from my RSS feed, let me know what you think. [Edit: I tried it in Sharpreader and Bloglines and it doesn't work. If you click the link for my feed on the blog you can see what I did. Oh well.]
